FontForge... The program with which to design a typeface

I have made a few practice 'n's and 'o's to be able to get into the habit using the program and then I have started from the lower case letter 'a'. I am designing a whole new type face for the rest of the alphabet as well,

The program became simple to use once I got the hang of the tools and also used the web for some help. I am able to lay out the points and then curve then or straighten them as I please. This way I am able to curate the letter into the form I want it to have as a final outcome.
